Apprentice Policies:
Our Apprentice environment is a hands-on
learning process. Daily schedules are flexible due to weather, animal
needs and other conditions. Responsibility rests with the Apprentice to
observe our policies and take advantage
of the opportunities at hand.
Our policies will be reviewed in detail as part of the in-depth
orientation upon arrival
at the ranch.
No prior experience is required. There are
no right or wrong answers to “why you want to do this.” Goals are as
numerous as the individuals who come here. However, you must know your
goals, even if they evolve while you
are here, and be self-motivated to
achieve them under our close supervision. We will discuss with you
whether
your goals are realistic and work with you to achieve them.
APPRENTICE TESTIMONY
From Loree who is a long time student and helped me as an intern with horsemanship camps summer 09.
Sherry, I believe written notes are a forgotten but very classy human
communication. Your efforts to send them
show your sincere interest. I
have kept all of the ones you have sent me. Often I read them several
times.
I have such a respect for you since working / playing side by side with
you and even more since I just finished
your book. It is good to know
of you heart felt struggles. I read your Slick story to mom at the at
the breakfast table...
with tears.
You are awesome!!
