Importance of Ground Exercises
Ground exercises:
a. Expose any resistance in the horse.
b. Cure common and difficult problems.
c. Prevent communication problems that cause frustration, & injuries.
d. Are the key to a calmer, smarter, braver, and more athletic horse.
e. Create a language of communication.
f. Are the foundation of skills on which to build anything we do with horses.
g. Influence everything you do with your horse.
h. Make advanced maneuvers easier.
i. Help gain your horse's respect and trust.
j. Transfer to all you do while riding.
k. Develop a deeper understanding of why horses do what they do.
l. Develop a deeper sensitivity about what the horse thinks and feels.
